Creekside's Bashkir Curly Mares
We have an outstanding group of Bashkir Curly Mares that we are very proud to introduce. We have taken great care in choosing not only because they are a powerful representative of the breed, but also because of their unique Sporthorse ability. It is important to us that our mares be foundation bred curlies ( or come from foundation Bashkir Curly Lines ) to preserve the hypoallergenic qualities. This group of mares certainly is the most talented we have ever owned. We also offer Bashkir Curly bred mares for sale at times, allowing some of these wonderful bloodlines to go to other herds. We also have several Deluxe Trail horse mares in the herd, they can also produce Sport horse prospects.
All our foals can be registered with the ABCR, CSI, ICHO, AWS or Pinto Registry (if colored).

"Legacy".....I can hardly say enough about this great filly, she is the best of the best, and the last of the Skookum Buck X Krinkle Clown foals. Most horse people say you can see a horse through its eyes...Well, you should take a look then, this filly has the MOST expressive eyes I have ever seen. In our July Curly Sport Horse Inspection, the judge made the same comment! Legacy will be kept at the ranch as a broodmare prospect...for let's see, 2010....that certainly seems like a long time. Our judges comments on this filly include "nice topline, well set neck, correct trot, NICE loose swinging walk and very well mannered ( when not playing ) "....those are comments from both our show and inspection. She took home ribbons in her class, but was out shined in the Championship class, by horses that are in the nation's top five for scores. One of the best traits of Krinkle Clown is her loose swinging walk ( the walk is the gait that you can change the least, with training- it has to be good from the start ) she passed it on here, as she usually does.
2009 update..Legacy is now a three year old. She stands 15.2HH measured with a stick while standing on concrete. Legacy spent 2 months training with Mike Kincella, they competed at two dressage schooling shows, where she had her first win {Training Level Dressage}. They also competed in the Spokane Sport Horse Farm Breeders Classic it is a USEF/USDF rated show. She was shown both "in hand" and in "materiale" classes. Legacy handled the whole day with a great attitude, as she did all her showing. This young filly is exceeding our expectations in all respects.

CVC Marvelous Story
CSI S05511-05
New! For Sale! Creekside welcomes "CVC Marvelous Story", CSI S05511-05 "Marbles" is a 2005 curly bred smooth coated bay tobiano mare. Marbles comes to us from the longtime curly breeder Laura Kinne of Castle View Curlies. Marbles is curly bred, and by blood is 3/4 curly, and 1/4 TB. Marbles pedigree traces back to Peter J. ABC #1. On the bottom side of her pedigree are TB lines, all registered with the Jockey Club. Her sire, Mika is a 2 time ABC National Performance Horse champion. We chose Marbles for our herd because of her lovely movement, her sweeping long stride, with good suspension. We feel she is a suitable match for our ranch stallion "Shadow's Hawk Spirit" aka..."HeartBreaker". Marbles has been started under saddle under the direction of one of our professional trainers. She is continuing in training here at home. In October '09 she was bred to our Dressage Champion ranch stallion and is confirmed in foal for a September 2010 foal. We have found Marbles to be quiet and easy to be around. She is such a forward mover, even under saddle! We are very excited about having this mare in our program, her quality is excellent and her temperament suits us. Keep an eye out for more training pics and the arrival of her foal.

New! For Sale! - Sale Pending!
Flash's Carmela DeAlegria" 14.3HH, 2004 sooty palomino pinto, curly coated gaited mare offered for sale. " Ally " has been in our herd for several years now. She was gently started under saddle as a 3 year old, and each year we have progressed her training a bit more. She has had 3 foals, all covered in curl, we suspect she is homozogous for curl. Ally sheds the top of her tail, but the rest is long. Ally has been a trail riding partner for my beginning rider hubby. She has experience in horse camping, she packs fresh game without fuss, and camps well. She is broke to hobbles, she high lines, has a great forward attitude and will make a fine riding partner for someone. Ally is personality plus, very user friendly, she loves people and WATER! Ally has excellent manners, loads and hauls easy, stands for the farrier, is in good health, she is current on vaccinations, hoof care, worming. Ally does a lateral walk, + an intermediate gait, and a correct trot and canter. Ally 's foals have been top quality. Her first foal, a palomino pinto colt, is in England, growing up to stand at stud there. Ally 's education has included arena work, and trail miles. She is a dream to handle and could possibly be a stellar beginners horse if horse and rider has supervision. Ally will be ready for a new home at the end of July, when we wean her 2010 colt....he can also be bought beside the mare( for a great deal ) if you like. Ally has a unique ABC pedigree, her lineages inlcude one copy of *Walker's Prince T, 5 generations back, other notables include *Sparlock, *Okie's Fiesty Fella and *Tex of Indian Springs. She has crossed very well with our farm stallion "Shadow's Hawk Spirit "HeartBreaker"......She is currently open. A rare find, full ABC/ICHO registrations in a brightly colored package, with the personality and temperament to be a truly successful and enjoyable riding horse.

Premium Mare Book (Provisional)
The matriarch of the ranch...I looked "matriarch" in the dictionary, yes this does apply! We purchased Kinkle Clown in 1997 for a riding horse for our then 10 year old son. She taught him how to ride, not by being push button, but rather not being a pushover..as many times as I thought this mare would blow up, she never did! truely a gem in our book. In 1998 when we bought our first stallion, she was our one and only broodmare. Literally dozens of mares have passed through our ranch, yet, this mare stays...she is herd leader and guide, not herd boss, but instead the wise leader. Absolutely BOMB PROOF on the trail, she continues to earn her keep out of respect and effort. We have had many spectacular foals from Krinkles, and I have kept a Krinkle Clown/Skookum Buck filly ( Legacy ) for our herd improvement. Those who own her foals, know there is just something special about this line of horses. She also went camping with us last fall, and provided Mike a great support in packing out his elk. We will continue to tune up this mare for riding, and as she ages, she will be retired from breeding. |

*Mary's Half Moon
ABC #3099
CSI C00579-02
Premium Mare Book (Provisional)
Mary's Half Moon aka..."Emmy" Emmy was Reserve Champion Mature Horse at our 2006 CSI inspection. Her first colt, SkyNite's Flash of Cream "Flash" was Reserve Champion colt at the 2006 USEF/USDF Creekside Classic. Flash went on to win the CSI 2006 "Horse of the Year" for his inspection scores. We have shown this mare in hand several times, and never been disappointed. She is a joy to own.
Update: Every now and then we are blessed to own a horse that enriches our lives in many ways. Emmy was one of those mares. Emmy was truely the foundation of our breeding program over the past several years, giving us stellar foals beyond compare. Being extremely photogentic, she also helped me win awards in many local and national photo competitions. Emmy never went unnoticed as buyers browsed our website or visited our farm and I turned down many offers to sell her in the past. However, with the desire to expand our bloodlines and when an incredible home presented itself, I just had to consider it. And so, Emmy has moved on to her new home overseas, leaving with us her legacy, *C-C Hotel Kalifornia, aka Kallie (2007 filly) to carry on her bloodlines and reputation as ambassador for the breed via Creekside Curlies. Kallie has some big hooves to fill, but
we feel Kallie is quite capable of meeting those high standards.
