4 year old, curly coated bay tobiano filly is now offered for sale by Creekside Curlies.  This filly, "Tekara" is the perfect example of a top quality curly.  Her Sire *DCC Traveler won the Challenging  2011 CSI "Horse of the Year" award in Combined Training ( 3 day eventing ).  When I first met this filly, I was floored by her calm and willing attitude as a youngster. Nothing seems to faze her!  Tekara stands 15.1HH and is built solid, but not drafty. She shows talent in jumping and would make the ultimate trail horse, with her calm attitude, she would make an especially nice well rounded family horse.   If you want a curly that is loaded with good qualities, and loaded with HAIR, this is the one for you. Tekara has a long, lush double mane, and a tail that graces the ground! Tekara has been gently started under saddle.

We are now offering for sale, the last filly on our farm from our Champion Dressage Stallion "*Shadow's Hawk Spirit" aka..."HeartBreaker"  This filly, a 2008 curly coated bay filly "*C-C Her Royal Highness" is what our decade+ breeding program has been all about. Athletically capable horses, with a superior mind , suited for taking an Adult Amateur down the center line in dressage, eventing, or driving. Barn name "Princess" this filly is nothing short of rare in a rare breed. Princess is a bay, with limited white and stands 16HH, she is CSI  and ABC registered. To watch her takes my breath away. She shows great athletic capability at liberty, wonderful suspension and a forward, uphill manner. Legacy was born on our farm during Mother's Day dinner in 2006. Sired by our retired ranch stallion "Skookum Buck" and out of our mare "Krinkle Clown" she was destined to be a "keeper" this mare has done nothing but delight us as we watched her grow. Legacy was shown and participated in a CSI inspection in 2006. Judges comments were "good correct trot, well set on neck, nice swingy walk and well mannered  {when not playing}"   In 2009 we sent Legacy out to our dressage Trainer where she flourished.  Trainer Mike showed her with great success and had comments about her like "Ladylike, an honest mount, and a quick learner." After a summer of training and showing we brought Legacy back to the farm where she matured more and in 2010 produced an incredible filly, sired by our ranch stallion "HeartBreaker" . "*C-C Hanalei" arrived and proved to be even more than our great expectations. In 2011 Legacy started her journey to become my driving horse. We will continue this mare's training, both in driving and riding, she is a joy to have on our farm. We completed the ancestory DNA test with Legacy and found the following results. !).  Non arab oriental (Iberain) Akhal Teke, Caspian,etc  2). QH and  3). North America 1. Rocky Mountain pleasure...Legacy has matured to a hair under 15.3HH.

There is no doubt this mare is in a class by herself. Bought as a riding horse, she proved herself bombproof, and then we started having some foals, and discovered the true genius of this mare. The gentics this mare passes on are top notch....Krinkles is a superb herd leader, always ruling with a kind and fair heart. Over the years she has not always been herd boss, but she has always been herd leader, sometimes to the disgust of some of the other mares that thought they were top dog.  Krinkles has given us memories to fill a lifetime, foals that are amazing (Dam of SkyBlue Dun Legacy, my driving horse) and has made a sizable contribution to the curly world, as her get grow up, and conquer the trails and the show ring, following in her huge hoof prints. Krinkles is now retired and living a life of ease. A small herd suits her, not near as much work to do!  She will stay in our hearts FOREVER, she has taught me volumes about relationships, both equine and human. Krinkles is uncanny, she manages to stay dirt free, injury and illness free her whole life!  She is wise beyond her years, kind and gentle, yet strict and tough with her youngsters...and always a leader, no matter the situation.
